Meliha Betül Doğan (she/her, b.1998) is a visual designer, storyteller, and researcher based in Bergen, Norway. She holds a master’s degree in Design from Universitetet i Bergen. Working primarily with frame-by-frame 2D animation, she is expanding her practice through mixed-media experiments that blend animation with real life textures and footage.
Her work often explores the boundaries of social acceptance, body image, identity, FOMO and the influence of new media. Doğan takes an experimental and poetic approach, drawing on surrealism, symbolism, traces of dreams, inner dialogues, and a deliberate detachment from reality to evoke reflection and critical discourse.
She is currently developing an animation project that reflects on the experiences of bodies living with chronic pain.
